Talking about yesterday...

Hello! This is a short explanation of how to use the past continuous tense properly, alghough I am sure that you alreaady know how to use it accurately! If you have any query, please check the section called 'General Overview' of this blog!

Once, you have listened to it, I want you to answer some question that you can also find below. It is very easy because I have also added the written form of the extract. I am sure you will not complain about it!

Pepe: 'What were you doing yesterday? I tried to reach you all day.'

Juan: 'I was talking on the phone.'

Pepe: 'Who were you talking to?'

Juan: 'I was talking to my friend Alex. He was very upset and he needed my help.'

Pepe: 'What happened?'

Juan: 'He had a car crash yesterday.'

Pepe: 'How did that happen?'

Juan: 'He was driving home and he was talking on the phone with me, he was telling me about his new girlfriend when he hit another car.'

Pepe: 'Was he badly hurt?'

Juan: 'No, he wasn't. Everything was all right after all, but he needs another car now. Do you know where he can buy one?'
